2026 Initiatives

Five opportunities. One bold vision.

In 2026, CUBE is launching five initiatives to put art on Healdsburg's streets, artists on its stages, and culture at the center of its economy. Each one is funded independently, with a public goal and a transparent budget. Pick the one that moves you — or fund them all. Every dollar goes to work in Healdsburg. Wayfinding & Signage
Healdsburg is full of galleries, studios, performance spaces, and public art — but unless you already know where to look, you'll miss most of it. CUBE is funding a European-style wayfinding signage system that connects residents and visitors to every cultural destination in town, starting with a new welcome sign that sets the tone from the moment you arrive.
Find your way to culture.
Slow Nights, Bright Lights
Most weekday evenings, downtown Healdsburg goes quiet by 8 PM. Slow Nights, Bright Lights changes that — a pop-up arts series that transforms slow evenings into jazz nights, poetry slams, bilingual storytelling, comedy sets, and more. Culture after hours, in the spaces that need it most.
After dark, Healdsbug comes alive.
Christmas Market
Not a craft fair. Not a holiday pop-up. A proper European-style Christmas market — two weekends and a full week of local artisans, handcrafts, food, music, and community in the heart of Healdsburg. Built to become the city's signature holiday tradition.
A real Christmas Market, for Healdsburg.
Micro-Art Projects
A mural on a utility box. A temporary installation on a vacant storefront. A mosaic on a retaining wall. Micro-art projects are small-scale, high-impact interventions that make every corner of Healdsburg a little more alive — and they put art directly into the hands of the community, especially young people.
Art where you least, and most, expect it.
Micro-Art Grants
CUBE's micro-grants program puts money directly into the hands of local and emerging artists — with priority given to youth arts, bilingual access projects, and work that puts culture in the public realm. No institutional affiliations required. No MFA needed. Just a good idea and the ability to execute it.
$2,000–$10,000. No gatekeeping.
The Next Thing
Our vision on day one is bold, aspirational, and achievable — by design. We're here for the long haul. As we plan for 2027 and beyond, we want to hear from you. What does Healdsburg need next? All ideas welcome.

We want to hear from you.
Why this matters
“Creating space for greater connection between sectors provides numerous opportunities for cultural experiences to serve residents. Local culture also enhances the visitor experience, making it more natural and beneficial for all.”
