2026 Initiative
Micro-Art Grants

$2,000K–$10,000K. No gatekeeping.

CUBE's micro-grants program puts money directly into the hands of local and emerging artists — with priority given to youth arts, bilingual access projects, and work that puts culture in the public realm. No institutional affiliations required. No MFA needed. Just a good idea and the ability to execute it.

What your support builds.
Direct Artist Funding
Money to makers.
Unrestricted grants of $2,000–$10,000 for individual artists and small collectives to create new work, stage performances, or build installations in Healdsburg.
Youth Arts Priority
The next generation gets funded.
Dedicated funding for projects by and for young artists — because the pipeline starts with opportunity, not credentials.
Bilingual Access
Culture across two languages.
Priority for projects that serve Healdsburg's Spanish-speaking and English-speaking community — performances, workshops, publications, and public art created in and for both languages.
Public Realm Work
Art you don't need a ticket to see.
Grants prioritize work that lives in public space — murals, installations, performances, and interventions that reach people where they already are.

Why this matters
“Arts and culture are an economic and social engine for Healdsburg and should benefit all residents in equal measure.”

The Details
Seed funding for the creative economy.
CUBE's micro-grants are modeled on county and state frameworks — Creative Sonoma and the California Arts Council — so that grantees can use CUBE funding as a stepping stone to larger opportunities. A $5,000 CUBE grant with a documented project and community impact makes an artist significantly more competitive for $25,000+ grants at the state level. This isn't just local funding — it's a launchpad.
5–10 Grants
Awarded in 2026, with plans to grow to 15–20 annually.
$2K–$10K Each
Flexible amounts based on project scope — not one-size-fits-all.
Open Application
No institutional affiliation required. Emerging artists, students, and community members are encouraged to apply.
